Thrissur Roller Skating Club
Thrissur Roller Skating Club is one of the pioneering roller skating institutions in Thrissur district and has played a remarkable role in developing roller skating culture in Kerala. Recognized as the first roller skating club in the district, the club has become a trusted platform for young athletes to learn, practice, and excel in the sport with professional guidance and disciplined training.
Established during the early stages of roller skating development in Thrissur and officially registered in 2005, the club has consistently worked towards promoting skating as both a competitive sport and a healthy recreational activity. Over the years, it has built a strong reputation for quality coaching, student development, and active participation in district and state-level skating activities.
The club is also known as one of the founder members and promoters of the (T.D.R.S.A.), contributing significantly to the organized growth of roller skating in the district. The association and the club together have helped introduce structured skating programs, competitions, and training camps for aspiring skaters.
One of the major milestones achieved by the club was becoming the first skating club in Thrissur district to introduce C.C.A. (Co-Curricular Activities) skating classes in schools. This initiative encouraged school students to actively participate in sports and develop confidence, fitness, balance, and discipline through roller skating.

- Speedway, Peramangalam, near Amala Hospital
The road practice sessions are conducted on one of the longest Go-Cart tracks in Kerala, helping students improve speed, endurance, and track performance under professional supervision.
Coaching and Leadership
The club functions under the direct guidance of Roy M. V., widely respected as “The Master of Masters” in the skating community. With decades of experience and continuous involvement in roller sports administration and coaching, he is regarded as one of the senior-most skating trainers in Thrissur district.
